Momentum MLS, Gitcha deal boosts MLS subscribers

Imagine MLS, a Kentucky-based multiple listing service, is expanding its reach by adding over 800 new subscribers through partnerships with two smaller organizations. The move marks a significant step in consolidating regional real estate data and improving access for agents across the state.

Regional consolidation in Kentucky

Imagine MLS, operated by Bluegrass Realtors, is absorbing approximately 680 subscribers from Western Kentucky Regional MLS (WKRMLS) as part of a broader effort to streamline operations. The transition is set for mid-June, with training and onboarding sessions planned for affected agents. Three local Realtor associations—the Realtor Association of Western Kentucky, Murray Calloway County Board of Realtors, and Pennyrile Board of Realtors—will retain their independence but shift MLS services to Imagine MLS.

“The transition represents an important investment in the future of our members,” said Shelly Lewis, president of WKRMLS. She emphasized that the move preserves local relationships while expanding opportunities for agents. A separate agreement with the Hopkinsville Christian & Todd County Association of Realtors (HCTCAOR) adds about 160 more subscribers, with agents in Christian and Todd counties switching to Imagine MLS.

Tonja West, president of HCTCAOR, called the change “incredible opportunities” for members. “Joining Imagine MLS allows our Realtors to connect with a broader marketplace while maintaining the local association that supports our members,” she said in a statement.

New tools for buyer visibility

Momentum MLS, based in Arizona, has partnered with Gitcha to integrate its Buyer Listing Service into the MLS platform. The tool gives agents access to verified buyer demand data, including preferences like property features, budget ranges, and financing timelines. This aims to create a more balanced marketplace by highlighting buyer needs that might otherwise go unseen.

Kim Everett, CEO of Momentum MLS, noted the service helps agents better understand market trends. A separate agreement with the Hopkinsville Christian & Todd County Association of Realtors (HCTCAOR) adds about 160 more subscribers, with agents in Christian and Todd counties switching to Imagine MLS.

“The Buyer Listing Service gives our members powerful new tools,” Everett said. “This helps the broader market respond more effectively,” she added.

Data sharing and market efficiency

In another development, Southwest Multiple Listing Service (SWMLS) has partnered with several organizations to improve vendor licensing processes. Under the agreement, SWMLS will move vendor licensing to a centralized system, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

“The integration of Data Dye is expected to strengthen MLS operations and improve data accuracy,” said a spokesperson. This change aligns with ongoing efforts to modernize systems and enhance collaboration across the industry.

These developments highlight the importance of adapting to changing market demands and leveraging technology to improve service quality for all stakeholders.
