Skynyrd Guitarist Sells Georgia Home for Millions

The longtime Georgia home of Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist has sold for $6.58 million, according to the report.

However, another luxury property is making headlines – a full-floor penthouse in Tribeca, New York, priced at $33.95 million.

Luxury Penthouse Details

This penthouse, located at 111 Murray Street, is the last sponsor unit available in the nearly sold-out building.

The 7,675-square-foot apartment features two private terraces and five bedrooms, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls offering 360-degree views of the city.

Listing agent Emily Sertic notes that the building’s architecture and the penthouse’s scale are “absolutely outstanding”.

The penthouse’s design, led by David Mann, incorporates a range of high-end finishes, including hardwood floors in a herringbone pattern, which adds to the apartment’s luxurious feel.

The building’s height, at 800 feet tall, provides a unique perspective on the city, with Sertic noting that when standing in the penthouse, “you’re kind of looking at Midtown at eye level”.

Amenities and Neighborhood

The building, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, offers a range of amenities, including a 24-hour doorman, concierge, and valet team, as well as a wellness center and spa.

The penthouse is located near Brookfield Place, which offers high-end shopping and dining options, and is also close to Whole Foods.

Sertic notes that the area has “super-low inventory”, making this penthouse a rare find.

According to the listing, the penthouse’s great room has views in three directions and features a fireplace and terrace access.

The primary suite includes corner exposures, two dressing rooms, and two windowed stone-clad bathrooms.

The windowed eat-in kitchen is outfitted with high-end appliances, including dual refrigerators, a 60-inch custom gas cooktop, and a full-height wine refrigerator, making it ideal for entertaining.

The building’s amenities also include a fitness center, Pilates room, and movement studio, as well as a children’s playroom and splash pad, catering to a range of lifestyles and preferences.

Target Demographic

Sertic says that the penthouse is drawing a younger demographic, including young talent moving to New York from the West Coast.

The penthouse’s private vestibule, library, and gallery, as well as its hardwood floors and 11-foot ceilings, make it an attractive option for these buyers.

Sertic notes that the building’s connection to Brookfield Place and proximity to Whole Foods make it an ideal location for buyers who value convenience and accessibility.

The penthouse’s architectural details, including its private corridors and dual service entrances, also make it an attractive option for buyers who value privacy and exclusivity.
